My career, personal life and passions have always intertwined. In my own search for healing I have come to believe that the shortcomings and challenges we face in our lives have the potential to be a gift to ourselves and to others.
My own recovery was instrumental in creating a program for female alcoholics in the Texas State Hospitals system. A challenge with compulsive eating led to the development of Complusive-Eaters Self-Acceptance (CESA), a program to help others. My desire for a fulfilling personal relationship, and the knowledge that I had to work on myself first, was a driving force in leading me to Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves and then to Imago Relationship Therapy.
A deep desire to heal lingering wounds with my two sons guided me to the Generations Dialogue Workshop, which gave us a safe, empowering structure for healing the past and consciously creating adult-to-adult relationships.
I am now certified by Dr. Sabine and Dr. Roland Bösel, Imago workshop presenters, and creators of the Generations Dialogue Workshop and have been providing this healing opportunity to other parents and adult sons and daughters. I love watching the joy and liberation they experience as they go through this workshop.
